Prince William Will Participate in COP30 Climate Summit in Brazil
The Prince of Wales is scheduled to attend the United Nations climate conference in South America next month, as confirmed by royal officials.
Prince William and King Charles appeared together on Thursday evening at a reception ahead of the climate summit, which is scheduled to take place in the Amazonian city of Belém.
The royal pair were participating in the scientific institution event, marking an noteworthy combined presence at a pre-COP30 gathering arranged together with the UK government.
Climate Leadership Commitment
The King has been a long-time champion of protecting nature - and Prince William has inherited the mission, with his own Earthshot awards, which will be taking place in South America ahead of the COP summit.
Palace insiders have characterized Prince William's attendance at the next COP as stepping up an important role in "environmental negotiations".
Recent Engagements
The monarch and his heir, making a joint entrance in the state Bentley, were welcomed guests including environmentalists, researchers, climate change campaigners, foreign representatives and government officials.
This participation included speaking together with President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic and other international figures at the Ocean Finance Summit in the Principality of Monaco during the current year.
Environmental Prize Connection
The climate conference will coincide with the William's personal Earthshot environmental awards, which will wrap up in Rio de Janeiro the previous day he attends the COP summit on 6 November.
In recent days the William described the prize competitors as "heroes of our time".

King Charles has been a influential participant at past COP meetings, delivering the inaugural speech in the United Arab Emirates for COP28, including the observation: "Our responsibility is to protect the world we inhabit".
"Throughout my life I've dedicated a substantial portion of my life trying to warn of the critical dangers facing us over global warming, environmental shifts and species extinction," the sovereign addressed participants.
